Aquaguard Delight NXT and Livpure Glo Pro++ are decent water purifiers in their respective price range. Performance-wise, they qualify as the best water purifiers under Rs 10,000. The Sure From Aquaguard Delight NXT has a slight edge over the Livpure Glo Pro++ because it wastes comparatively less water. On the other hand, the Livpure model offers a better water taste after purification.

      Installation

Installing the machine is not an issue. These appliances are flexible because you can wall-mount them or place them on the kitchen countertop. Generally, RO water purifiers feature an inbuilt pump that forces the water through the RO membrane. However, if the input water pressure is less than 5psi, you must install an additional pump. Both these water purifiers can work comfortably when the pressure exceeds 5 psi.

Livpure does not provide a sediment filter with the original packaging. So depending on your requirements, you must buy them separately. Livpure technicians can force you to purchase the sediment filter from them. But you can procure it directly from the market. It is not more than Rs 700.

      Performance

Performance-wise, the Livpure Glo Pro++ and Sure from Aquaguard Delight are good because they can handle all water sources with TDS levels up to 2000 ppm. Of course, the water purification rate depends on the TDS levels in the source water. However, it compares well with other similar products in the market.

Livpure Glo Pro++ has a 7-stage water purification process, whereas the Aquaguard model has an 8-stage procedure. However, that does not make much difference because I tested the TDS levels in RO-purified water in both cases and found them within permissible limits.

Besides RO, both these appliances offer UV and UF water purification. Therefore, there is little to choose between them.

      Water Wastage

All RO water purifiers waste a lot of water because the process involves squeezing out TDS from the water source. As a result, the rejected water TDS levels can be abnormally high. As the water gets purified through the RO membrane, the rejected water flows out through a separate outlet.

Sure From Aquaguard uses an innovative water recovery process to reduce water wastage. The company claims that it reduces water wastage by 60%. I have tested this water purifying machine and found that it wastes two liters of water for every liter purified. The performance cannot be compared to that of the HUL Pureit Eco Water Saver appliance, which wastes one glass of water for every glass purified. However, the wastage depends on the TDS levels in the water source: the lesser the TDS levels, the less the wastage.

Livpure Glo Pro++ does not offer any such feature. Therefore, the Aquaguard model is a better option.

      Water Taste Change

RO-purified water does not have any taste because it does not contain any essential minerals. The RO water purification process removes essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and manganese. So, water purifier manufacturers use various methods to replenish the lost essential minerals.

The Aquaguard model features an MTDS Taste Adjuster facility where the technician sets the required TDS levels in the final purified water. The process involves mixing raw water with RO-purified water and improving its taste.

Livpure offers a Taste Enhancer feature that requires the RO-purified water to pass through a mineralizer cartridge, where the essential minerals are replenished. Since this method does not re-contaminate purified water, it is better than the Taste Adjusted feature of the Aquaguard appliance.

      Storage Tank Capacity

The storage tank capacity is similar, with the Aquaguard model offering 6L and the Livpure appliance 7L. So both these water purifiers are ideal for meeting the requirements of small to medium-sized Indian families.

The tap attachment in the Livpure model needs improvement because I observed water dripping from it even after filling the water in the bottles. A conventional tap could have been better.

      Maintenance Costs

RO water purifiers require the replacement of filters and membranes regularly. Usually, the RO membrane can purify up to 6000 liters of water. However, it depends on the TDS levels in the water source. I found that both appliances are equal in this aspect. I replaced the RO membrane after 18 months. The RO membrane cost is the same for both of these machines.

I have bought an AMC for both machines, and there is little difference in the cost. The sediment filters require replacement within a year. They cost around Rs 700. The UV lamp can last up to two to three years. The Livpure machine requires replacing the Taste enhancer cartridge once in 18 to 24 months.

      Service-Related Issues

Both Aquaguard and Livpure have numerous service centers located almost everywhere in India. Therefore, I did not experience any problems with the service. However, users have complained of dissatisfaction with both machines. It could be a locational problem.

      Pricing

Compared to the Aquaguard model, the Livpure Glo Pro++ is priced less by Rs 800. However, that should be pretty much the same as the final because the pricing depends on the discounts offered on Amazon. Since these discounts vary, the pricing can change. However, both appliances are priced reasonably.
