This Atomberg cold-press juicer is compact, quiet, and runs at 40 RPM. It keeps juice cool with low foam and is easy to assemble and clean. We have been using this Althea juicer for more than three months and like its performance and juice extraction, but the extraction is not quite top-tier like the Kuvings Auto 6. This model also does not come with frozen-dessert accessories.

What we tested?
We ran carrots, beetroot, apple, lauki, cucumber, pomegranate, pineapple, and made nut milk. We focused on juice yield, temperature, foam, pulp dryness, ease of use, and cleaning time — the metrics that change whether you use a juicer daily.

Atomberg Cold Press Juicer Performance & juice quality
At 40 rpm, the Atomberg Althea extracts juice slowly, which limits temperature rise and oxidation. The result is rich colour, minimal froth, and a flavour closer to freshly pressed juice than to high-speed centrifugal alternatives like Philips Viva Collection and Sujata Supermix.
For hard roots such as carrot and beetroot, this Atomberg cold press juicer produced somewhat dry pulp and a good yield; in short tests, we observed pulp moisture of about 95–97% of that from the Kuvings B1700 — i.e., very good, but not the absolute driest.

Pomegranate is also handled well: the seeds remain mostly intact, so bitterness from seed damage is minimal. Soft fruits and watery vegetables like apple, oranges, lauki, and khira pass through the feed easily, producing clean, smooth juice with little stringy fibre. Nut milks worked well after standard soaking and a couple of passes.
For carotenoid absorption (from carrot), light cooking plus a small amount of fat increases bioavailability — raw cold-pressed carrot remains nutritious but behaves differently in the body.
Assembly and cleaning

Assembling this Atomberg slow juicer is a simple three-step process. Once you are familiar with the parts, it just takes under a minute to put together them and get ready to juice. Disassembly is just as quick. Most parts rinse clean, and the supplied brush makes cleaning the filter straightforward. In our tests, total cleanup took about 2 to 3 minutes, depending on the pulp load.
Compared with larger juicers like Kuvings B1700, Hestia Nutrimax, Agaro Royal, the vertical design and 121 mm hopper in this atomberg juicer reduce preparation time. You’ll still need to cut very large fruits, but many vegetables and fruits fit without delicate slicing.

The noise level is low compared with other cold-press juicers we tested, and it’s much quieter than high-speed centrifugal machines.
Features deep-dive
- Intelli Rev (auto reverse): Designed to clear jams automatically. We did not trigger it in our short use of 3 months.
- Hopper Lock Detection & Auto Lid Stop: The motor will not start unless parts are locked correctly, and the unit stops if the lid opens.
- LED indicators: Clear mode and fault indication make troubleshooting easier.
- Big hopper (121 mm): Reduces chopping for everyday fruits and veggies. Kuvings Auto 6 still leads with a 140 mm hopper if you want the widest feed.
- No sorbet strainer: Unlike some Kuvings/Hestia/Agaro models, Atomberg currently lacks a dedicated sorbet/ice strainer for frozen desserts.

Atomberg vs Kuvings Cold Press Juicer
- Kuvings B1700 typically yields slightly drier pulp and offers premium motor warranties on some models. Atomberg is close on juice quality and easier on the wallet.
- Kuvings Auto 6 comes with a wider 140 mm hopper that needs less prep; Atomberg’s 121 mm hopper is still generous and larger than many budget models.
You can expect far less foam, cooler juice, and better retention of heat-sensitive nutrients with Atomberg Althea; most of the centrifugal juicers run at 15k–20k rpm and cause some heat/oxidation.

Tips and practical advice
- For maximum carotenoid absorption from carrots, lightly steam them, then juice or combine juice with a small amount of oil.
- Strain only if you want less fibre; we recommend some pulp retention for satiety and slower sugar absorption.
- Clean the mesh filter immediately after use to prevent pulp drying onto it.
- Register on the Atomberg website to claim the additional 1-year warranty.

Pros
- Retains heat-sensitive nutrients with 40 rpm cold-press extraction.
- Very easy 3-step assembly and fast cleaning; brush included.
- Generous 121 mm hopper reduces prep time.
- Practical safety: hopper lock detection and auto lid stop.
- Quiet operation and tidy pulp ejection.
Cons
- Pulp not quite as bone-dry as top-end Kuvings models (observed).
- No sorbet/frozen-dessert strainer included.
- Motor warranty not as long as some premium rivals’ motor warranties.
Final verdict – who should buy it?
This Atomberg Althea Cold Press juicer suits you if you want a hassle-free, nutrient-first cold-press juicer for daily fruit and vegetable juices, and you value quick cleaning and safety. If your priority is bone-dry pulp or a built-in sorbet strainer, pick a Kuvings Auto 6 or B1700 instead.
