Panasonic is a famous AC brand found in many Indian homes. These air conditioners are renowned for their performance. However, the AC is a machine and can develop faults.
Identifying the defects can be a problem, but the Panasonic AC error codes make it easy.
This blog discussed the various error codes on Panasonic ACs and the remedial measures. Generally, we advise users not to repair their Panasonic ACs by themselves because multiple parts of the AC are under warranty.
The warranty becomes void if any third-party AC service technician tries to repair the defects. So, booking a service call and getting the authorized Panasonic AC technician to handle these problems is advisable.
How do you find out the error codes on Panasonic ACs?
Whenever an error occurs on the Panasonic ACs, they turn off, and the timer LED on the panel starts blinking. Panasonic ACs have a unique remote controller to help determine the error codes. You will see the Check option on the Panasonic remote controller.
Insert the pin in the spot beneath the Check option until the remote controller screen shows the βDouble Minus Sign.β Keep pressing the Up or Down arrow that flashes the error codes on the screen. You will hear a beep sound when the concerned error code displays on the screen. Note it down and refer to the chart supplied with the AC appliance. Share the details with the AC technician to help identify the problems quickly.
Panasonic AC Error Codes
We shall discuss the error codes and resolutions for residential air conditioners alone. However, please note if there are multiple indoor units, each indoor unit will display its unique error code. Therefore, these error codes can vary from one model to another.
Error Code H00 β No issues; the AC is working perfectly.
The code H00 indicates there is no fault with the AC. However, you can check the filters if you do not experience optimal cooling. They might be clogged with dirt. Please remove the cover gently. A defective PCB or inadequate refrigerant levels can cause the street temperature sensor to become faulty and disconnected. The AC technician should replace or reconnect the sensor.
Error Code H28 β Capacitor temperature sensor N1 disconnected or closed
The AC technician should check the refrigerant levels and act accordingly. Inadequate refrigerant can cause a rise in the temperature levels, leading to the closure or disconnection of the capacitor temperature sensor N1. The resolution is to look for the root cause and replace and reconnect the N1 sensor.
Error Code H30 β Discharge temperature sensor is closed or broken.
The solution is to replace or reconnect the defective discharge temperature sensor after addressing the prime cause. For example, it could be inadequate refrigerant or a faulty PCB.
Error Code H32 β The temperature sensor at the condenser output is broken or closed
The underlying fault could be a defective OCB or abnormal refrigerant levels. The technician should investigate the problem and act accordingly. The solution is replacing or reconnecting the damaged sensor.
Error Code H33 β Interconnect error
There might be snapped wiring or a damaged PCB. The technician should act accordingly.
Error Code H34 β Power module heatsink temperature sensor short circuit
An abnormal rise in the temperature due to inadequate refrigerant levels can cause the short-circuiting of the power module heatsink temperature sensor. The solution is to replenish the refrigerant levels and replace or reconnect the sensor.
Error Code H35 β Drainage blockage or pump malfunction
The solution is to clear the drain blockage. Checking the pump motor winding can help resolve the problem. The winding resistance should be around 200 Ohms. The technician should rewind the motor and resolve the issue.
Error Code H36 β ODU gas tube temperature sensor damaged or closed.
The solution is to check the refrigerant levels and refill the gas. Then, replace or reconnect the temperature sensor to resolve the problem.
Error Code H37 β ODU liquid tube temperature sensor short circuit
The reason could be inadequate gas levels. Refill the gas and replace the liquid tube temperature sensor.
Error Code H38 β Mismatch between the IDU and the ODU
It is an installation error. Please check the IDU and ODU numbers for compatibility and get the faulty unit replaced.
Error Code H39 β Mix up of the wires and the refrigerant circuits, a faulty solenoid valve of the ODU.
Such a situation can occur in a multi-split system. The solution is to connect the units properly. The solenoid valve requires replacement if it is faulty.
