Bluestar offers an extensive range ofΒ air conditioners, including window ACs, non-inverter split ACs, inverter split ACs, smart ACs, etc.

Generally, Bluestar ACs perform well. Besides, Bluestar offers warranties on the compressor and PCB for extended periods. Furthermore, all their products come with a one-year product warranty. However, the Bluestar AC is a machine, and it can fail. Under such circumstances, we advise users to lodge an official complaint and summon the authorized Bluestar technician.

Bluestar technician vs General AC mechanic

Generally, AC mechanics can handle almost all AC operational problems. However, it is still advisable to call the authorized Bluestar AC technician to address issues with Bluestar ACs. These authorized technicians are trained well to service ACs. They know each problem and its solution.

Bluestar ACs come equipped with a self-diagnosis system that can diagnose almost all problems associated with air conditioners. The system indicates the faults through error codes on the IDU, ODU, and the remote controller unit. These error codes vary from one AC series to the other. However, the primary error codes remain the same. We shall now discuss the various error codes on Bluestar ACs, their causes, and fixes.

Users are advised not to try fixing any problem with the Bluestar AC. Instead, they should note the error code and seek professional assistance. However, users can clean the AC filters fortnightly by removing them from their sockets.

      Bluestar AC Error Codes

      Window AC – L Series

      E1 – Room Sensor Failure

The room sensor can malfunction because of a faulty PCB, or there could be a loose connection somewhere. The AC technician should investigate properly, reconnect the sensor wire, or replace it if damaged. PCB damage should be dealt with accordingly.

E2 – Evaporator coil sensor failure

There could be a disconnection or malfunction of the evaporator coil sensor. Under such circumstances, the Bluestar AC flashes the E2 error code. The solution is to reconnect or replace the sensor.

      Window AC – G – Series

      E1 – Room sensor failure

Replacing or reconnecting the sensor can rectify the issue.

E2 – Evaporator coil sensor failure

The solution is to replace or reconnect the evaporator coil sensor.

      Window AC – Y, R, and M Series

Er – Indoor ambient temperature sensor failure

Excessive heat inside the AC unit can melt the sensor terminals and cause them to disconnect. The solution is to reconnect or replace the sensor.

En – Evaporator pipe temperature sensor failure

Abnormal changes in the temperature levels can cause the sensor to fail. The solution is treating the root of the problem. It can be replacing the PCB or refilling the refrigerant. The sensor might also require replacement or reconnection.

Eo – Condenser pipe temperature sensor failure

Unusual changes in temperature levels can cause the condenser pipe temperature sensor to malfunction. The solution is to check the gas levels and refill them. The PCB also needs checking and repair for faults. Replacing the sensor is essential if damaged.

      Ed – Evaporator defrosting defect

Insufficient airflow can cause the evaporator defrosting defect. It can be because of a blocked filter, low fan speeds, or a dirty evaporator coil. Usually, shutting off the unit can resolve the problem. Then, you can investigate the reasons. Clean the filters if clogged. Otherwise, the AC technician is the right person to repair the fan speed and handle other technical issues.

Split AC – Star Rated – Specific models 3-star VA, VB, VC, VD, 2-star OA, OB, OC, 5-star ZA, ZB, ZC, ZD, 5-star SA-SB, SAF-ZAF, 3HS18TAT

F2 – Indoor evaporator temperature sensor open or short-circuited

Abnormal temperature fluctuations can cause short-circuit of the evaporator temperature sensor. Check for loose connections. Replace the sensor or reconnect it to solve the problem.

H6 – PG Motor (Indoor fan motor) does not operate.

Check the connections with the PCB. Solder the wires if they are loose. There can be a capacitor error. Replace the capacitor to resolve the fan motor issue. An open winding can also cause this problem. Tighten the winding and set the matter right.

C5 – Malfunction protection of jumper cap

Check whether the pins have been fixed correctly. For example, installing the jumper cap in the wrong pin can cause its malfunction. Remove the cap and fix it again correctly. If the problem persists, replace the cap.

U8 – PG motor (indoor fan) circuit malfunction by zero cross detection

The U8 error is because of a fault in the indoor fan Pulse Generator circuit due to zero cross detection. The technician checks the circuit and fixes it properly.

      E5 – Overcurrent protection

Bluestar ACs come equipped with circuit breakers that snap when excessive current flow occurs. Replacing the fuse and resetting the circuit breaker should resolve the problem. However, if the problem recurs frequently, you must check the power supply and fix the overcurrent problem.

      Split AC – Specific Series 2-star RA-RB, 3-star TA-TB, 5-star DA-DB, 3-star FA-FB-FC

      E1 – EEPROM error
